ASSESSMENT OF UKRAINIAN INDUSTRIAL ENTERPRISES INNOVATIVE ACTIVITY
Abstract
The purpose of the article is to study the level of industrial enterprises innovative activity in Ukraine and identify the factors that affect it. The article examines the statistics of innovation by industrial enterprises in Ukraine. Data on the volume of implementation and sales of innovative products, costs and financing, as well as the number of innovative enterprises were taken into account. Statistics indicate a relatively low level of Ukrainian industrial enterprises innovation activity in terms of almost complete self-financing of innovation activities and the steady increase in the cost of innovation in the context of increasing their manufacturability. The author emphasizes that the average innovation activity level of Ukrainian industrial enterprises is at the 12.9%, and sales of innovative products do not exceed 2% in the last 6 years. The volumes of introduced innovative products change in waves every two years, and the difference between growth and decline is almost twice. There is also a significant increase in the cost of innovation while reducing the volume of introduced innovative products, which indicates an increase in the cost of such products and we can assume that increasing demands on manufacturability, which also affects the high level of costs. Not the least role in this issue is played by the correspondence of the general innovative development of Ukraine in comparison with the world level, in the context of which, the current level of innovation activity may correspond to external conditions. In such conditions, the issue of creating conditions to stimulate the growth of innovation activity in Ukrainian industrial enterprises becomes relevant. In writing the article, such general scientific methods as analysis, synthesis, induction and deduction, abstraction and analogy were used. The article forms a general idea of the innovative activity state of Ukrainian industrial enterprises and provides an overview of statistical material on this issue. This article is a step for further study of the accounting peculiarities for the innovation costs of industrial enterprises and the formulation of a mechanism for their effective accounting, analysis and budgeting.
