METHODOLOGICAL APPROACHES TO THE MANAGEMENT OF BUSINESS PROCESSES OF RETAIL ENTERPRISES IN THE CONDITIONS OF SYSTEMIC TRANSFORMATIONS
Abstract
The article identifies the main methodological approaches to managing business processes of retail enterprises in the context of systemic transformations. The main advantages and disadvantages of each of the outlined approaches are highlighted in details. It has been established that in the conditions of doing business which is characterized by systemic transformations, the most effective among the main approaches to managing business processes is the process approach that is focused on achieving the competitiveness of a retail enterprise. Within the framework of the proposed approach and based on the conducted content analysis of the concepts of "adaptation" and "adaptability". It is determined that "adaptability" is used as a characteristic of the socio-economic system, the ability to adapt, structural restructuring, in the context of transformations; while adaptation is a feature of a specific enterprise in order for it to acquire features and properties characteristic of the transformation environment. It has been established that the application of the proposed approaches allows achieving adaptability and efficiency of business processes, which is based on the efficiency of the enterprise as a whole. Among the analyzed approaches to the business process management system of a retail enterprise, the leading place belongs to the process approach. Therefore, the process approach can be combined with functional, strategic or other approaches. Depending on the degree of adaptation of a retail enterprise to the conditions of transformation of the economic system, approaches to business process management can be combined in different variations. Using a process approach in enterprise management, processes are systematically identified, managed, and consistently interacted. The stages of implementation of approaches to business process management were investigated and analyzed in the article. The point of combination of approaches acts as a bifurcation point, on which the choice of the next approach for the purpose of adapting the enterprise depends.
